EA Technology promises support for Ashton Hayes

Here is a message from EA Technology MD, Robert Davis

"EA Technology and the Ashton Hayes Going Carbon Neutral project have
joined forces to examine the feasibility of developing an renewable
energy micro-grid for the village. EA Technology believes that such a
scheme could cut energy bills for residents and help the community in
its ambition to become England's first carbon neutral village.

"We are very interested in working with a forward thinking community
such as Ashton Hayes as this enables us to examine how renewable energy
technology could be integrated into the existing infrastructure. Having
a real village and enthusiastic people to work with will also
complements the aims of the Energy Innovation Centre (EIC) at nearby
Capenhurst that we plan to open next year." says Robert Davis, Managing
Director, EA Technology ." The EIC will help innovators introduce both
new and proven products into the energy market, helping companies and
communities to adopt more sustainable technologies. It will be the first
facility of its kind in the UK."

As a leading supplier of engineering solutions to power producers,
distributors and users, EA Technology is ideally placed to liaise with
other companies about the feasibility of developing a renewable energy
grid in Ashton Hayes. According to Davis, installation of a renewable
energy micro-grid would cause little disruption to the village but open
up the possibility of considerable savings on energy bills for residents
and more secure power supplies for the future."
