In October 2009, three members of the Ashton Hayes Going Carbon Neutral project were invited by the island community of Nøtterøy, Norway, to support their launch of a community 'going carbon neutral project. Here are some photos that record the visit. -

Public meeting 30th April (2)
Around 100 people came out on a wet and cold night to hear about all the activities with the microgrid, village shop and school renewable heating system. -
The microgrid study (5)
In 2008/9 the University of Chester and EA Technology joined forces with the village and secured a £86,000 grant from Carbon Connections UK to study how a village like ours might assess its renewable resources and possibly generate its own renewable energy. Here are a few photos showing the volunteers at work. -
