January 2016 Activities

28 January 2016: End of Decade celebrations with the launch and world premiere of our new film 'Our footprint, our journey' that examines the past decade of the Going Carbon Neutral Project through the eyes of residents. Primary School 7pm. The Mayor and Mayoress of Chester will open the event.

December 2015 activities

30 December: Garry & Steve edit new video "Our footprint, our journey - 10 years on"

10 December 2015: Ashton Hayes CEC Board meeting to discuss 28 January event and solar PV installations.

December: Order placed with Raine or Shine for new PV panel array on Primary School Roof. Talks continue through the month with the school and CWaC about installation plans.

9 December 2015: Garry attends Pure Leapfrog Board meeting in London.

November 2015 Activities

23 November 2015: AHCEC Board meeting 7.30pm.

14 November 2015: Alex, Kate and Garry present at the West Cheshire Community Energy Conference at Helsby High School 10am - 3pm.

9-13 November 2015: Garry invited to the World Future Council meeting on 100% Renewable Cities at Kassel in Germany (left). Thanks to DeENet for sponsoring Garry's travel.

3rd November 2015: Garry and Alex review film 'rushes' and continue writing a book on the project (half completed!).

26-30 October 2015: Filming begins for new 'End of Decade' production - "Our Footprint, Our Journey - 10 years on"

22 October 2015: Garry attends Pure Leafrog Trustee meeting in London.

7 October 2015: Ashton Hayes Community Energy Company Board meeting, 7.30pm, Ashton Hayes.

September 2015 Activities

30 September 2015: Garry attends Pure Leapfrog Trustee meeting in London.

September 25th 2015: (Photo left) Kate Harrison gave a presentation about Ashton Hayes at the Community Energy event organised by Datblygiadau Egni Gwledig (DEG)  at Electric Mountain, Llanberis.  The event was hosted by a partnership between YnNi Padarn Peris, Community Energy Wales, Renew Wales and the Community Energy Fund.  There were delegates from across Wales, from England and even from Ireland.
Another speaker was Tom Parkinson from Energy Local a project in which Mary Gillie is involved.

3 September 2015: Garry attends Community Energy Contact Group meeting at DECC.
